Discover our mindset tips—like practicing curiosity over criticism—to start defining yourself by your unique expression, not a number.
Welcome back to The Confidence Edit, the space where we talk about the power of fashion to boost our inner confidence.
For many of us, our entire fashion journey has been dictated by a number on a tag. We were taught to "shop for our size" first, and "shop for our style" second... if at all. It was a narrative of limitations, a set of rules about what we couldn't wear.
As your Empathetic Stylist, we are here to change that narrative.
Let’s be clear: Your size is a piece of data. It’s a neutral measurement, just like your height or your shoe size. Your style, however, is your personality. It’s your expression, your creativity, your mood, and your story.
So, how do we begin to define ourselves by our style and not our size?
The next time you stand in front of your wardrobe, quiet the inner voice that asks, "What will hide me?" Instead, ask, "What makes me feel happy?" "What colour makes me feel powerful?" "What print makes me feel creative?"
A garment that "fits" is the bare minimum. A garment that makes you feel fantastic is the goal. When you try something on, don't just ask, "Does it fit?" Ask, "Does it make me feel like me?"
We all have that one beautiful dress we are "saving" for a special occasion. Defining yourself by style means deciding that today is the special occasion. Wear the piece that makes you feel incredible, just because.
Defining your style is a daily, conscious choice. It's the decision to let your personality speak louder than a number. Your size is a measurement. Your style is limitless.
That is 'Style. Beyond Size.'
